OK....NO fan of this woman AT ALL, but I do like some of her fashion choices. albeit 90 percent of the time she is overdressed and too sexy for business. (And she knows better. Meetings are not cocktail parties or garden events.) But, I LOVE this outfit which is so fresh and pretty for spring or summer . (I've a similar blouse in beige and black leopard print that I pair with a black pencil skirt, another similar blouse in a deep, royal blue.) What many do not realize is, if you know how to dress which means if you know how to select pieces that flatter YOU and are not necessarily "on trend", you can put together attractive ensembles and look great without having her income level. Analyze this: simple, pretty, deep v neck sleeveless, front tie blouse, knee length houndstooth pencil skirt, high, nude heels, minimal jewellery - gold bracelet and tiny earrings,, nude clutch....not so difficult. She chooses a lot of feminine dresses in floral prints which I like for summer, but I'd top with a slim cardi or cute little fitted jacket for business. She also seems to favour a soft palette that suits her coloring, a slightly stronger palette suits me more. Nude heels go with anything and are not trendy. It's all in the game of knowing what suits you and going for it....and women can do this even with a relatively small budget. There is nothing worse than seeing women in clothes that do not flatter and that wear the women. (The other day, I saw a young bride that was HUGE. She wore a dress that was incredibly "poufy meringue"; she looked 500 pounds. Even my mother agreed to that. Yes, it was her bridal gown but did she not receive any advice on what would flatter and suit her?) For once I applaud Ivanka.
