I was going to share this photo today that I took yesterday of three of our four dogs being mooches for a donut my husband has, but now the meaning of this photo has changed. This is the last photo I will have of my dear Sweet Pea (far left). She left me about an hour ago to finally be rid of her pain. She had multiple issues going, but this morning she could no longer stand and she didn't want to eat...her way of telling me it was time. She was twelve and a half.

To look at what Sweet Pea meant to me, she was always my shy little girl. She never really warmed up to strangers, but blossomed with other K9 friends. She was with me for 11 and a half years and saw a lot of rescues and fosters come and go through our household. She always accepted them and respected them if they needed their own space. She was my billy goat Airedale and could leap over the back of a couch with great ease in her younger years. She came to be my shadow and I think I was the only person she really totally accepted...unconditionally. I will love her always and hold her close. Fly high my little one.
